How To Make Different Types Of Hummus And Cheese Rolls

Hello, guys Today we will show you how to make some Lebanese mezze for your get-togethers So we’re talking about the one, the only, hummus. Okay, and we will also show you how to make some cheese rolls, so let’s get started.

For the hummus base you need:

  1. 400 grams of chickpeas,
  2. 3 tablespoons of tahini sauce,
  3. 2 garlic cloves, 1/2 lemon,
  4. 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  5. Salt


The first tip to obtain a creamy hummus is to peel the skin off. It’s a long process but it’s really worth it.  Then start mixing the chickpeas in a mixer. If you want to get a whiter color, you can add ice when mixing the chickpeas I then add the tahini, garlic, olive oil, salt, and lemon juice and continue mixing until obtaining a homogeneous texture.

Once you’re done with these steps, you have the basic Lebanese hummus that is ready I divided my hummus in three to prepare the three different types: half of the hummus for the classic one and a quarter for each of the spinach and beetroot one For the basic hummus,

We prepared it in two different forms. For the first one, we just cut some bread into triangles and place them in a plate For the second, we cut the bread into small rectangles, we place them in a pan, drizzle some olive oil, and use a food brush to cover all the bread We then add some thyme and sesame seeds We heat the oven at 180 degrees and then place the bread for around 10 minutes to obtain bread crackers.

Cheese Rolls

For the cheese rolls, you will need: 150 grams of halloumi, 75 grams of feta cheese, 25 grams of mozzarella cheese, 1 tablespoon of parsley and half a tablespoon of green onions. We start by cutting the cheese into small pieces and mix all the ingredients together, We then take pastry sheets, ours were round so we had to fold them to obtain a rectangle

We place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture on one side of the rectangle and start folding the sheet to obtain a triangle shape, We call them cheese rolls because they are more commonly found as cigar-shaped. But we here decided to do them as triangles

To close it we use a mixture of water and flour We then repeat the same steps for all the rolls For the frying we heat some vegetable oil in a pan. Once the oil is heated we place the cheese rolls Flip them after a few minutes when they have turned golden We then place them on a plate and garnish with some chopped parsley Honestly we really encourage you to try it.
